Assistant Professor - Family and Consumer Sciences -Tenure Track
Job Description
- Teach undergraduate and graduate-level courses, including community nutrition, foodservice management, and food science.
- Actively seek external funding to support research and scholarly activities.
- Conduct research and publish data in peer-reviewed journals.
- Manage all aspects of the Didactic Program in Nutrition and Dietetics (DPD) accreditation, including curriculum development and revisions, program evaluation, and student records in accordance with the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) standards.
- Collaborate with the College marketing staff to promote the program.
- Supervise research work of master's level students.
- Coordinate undergraduate experiential service-learning program.
- Serve on department, college and university committees.
Qualifications
- Earned doctorate or ABD in nutrition, public health, food service management, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
- Registered Dietitian (R.D.) credential is required.
- Minimum of three years professional experience post credentialing.
- Evidence of successful teaching and research experience.
- Strong classroom and interpersonal skills.
