Job Summary
The Laboratory of Geo-information Science and Remote Sensing is seeking an innovative expert in spatiotemporal analysis with a passion for teaching and research. The role involves contributing to educational programs and research activities in geostatistics, uncertainty assessment, and GeoAI, while fostering collaboration within the group.
Responsibilities
- Develop, coordinate, and teach courses in collaboration with colleagues.
- Acquire, lead, and implement innovative research projects.
- Supervise PhD candidates and MSc students.
- Contribute to the continued development of the Laboratory of Geo-Information Science and Remote Sensing.
Qualifications and Requirements
- A completed PhD in Geography or a related field, with a scientific track record in geostatistics and spatial uncertainty assessment.
- Affinity with GeoAI methods and applications.
- Proven experience with international collaboration on the topic.
- An open and inviting approach to education and teamwork.
- Relevant and well-evaluated teaching experience.
- Fluency in English at level C1.
What the Employer Offers
- A fixed-term, 18-month contract that can lead to permanent employment upon positive evaluation.
- Competitive gross salary between €4,728 and €7,297 per month for a full-time working week of 38 hours.
