Major Duties
Under general supervision, the Assistant to the Chief of Operations performs complex administrative duties supporting executive operations, coordinates projects, manages communications, and ensures compliance with university procedures while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism across interactions with campus stakeholders and external partners.
- Works independently to provide executive-level administrative support to the Chief of Operations (COO) with office processes and procedures and communications.
- Applies judgment and discretion when handling the COO's complex and constantly changing calendar and independently resolves scheduling conflicts.
- Initiates and processes COO's travel, reimbursements, itineraries, and maintains memberships.
- Assists the COO with special projects, meetings, and events; ensures all hospitality and CSUBUY have been fully approved prior to events
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university.
- Equivalent to three years of full-time, progressively responsible relevant experience.

- Communicates effectively with diverse stakeholders while maintaining professionalism.
- Exercises sound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive information.
- Manages multiple priorities and deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Applies knowledge of administrative procedures, policies, and systems.
- Uses technology and office systems to support efficient operations.
Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule
- The university offers an excellent benefits package, including but not limited to: medical, dental, vision, retirement & savings, tuition waiver, and more.
- Classification: 1176 / Cnfdntl Admin Support / Grade 2
- The anticipated HIRING RANGE is $ 5900 - $ 6300 per month, dependent on qualifications and experience. The salary range for this classification is: $ 4687 - $ 11,223 per month.
- HOURS: Full Time; 40 hours per week; Monday through Friday. May include evenings and weekends.
- This is a Regular position with a two-year probationary period.
- The position is currently hybrid (4 days in office, 1 day remote); however, this is subject to change based on student and/or operational needs.
