Job Summary
This position is responsible for administrative support, leading campus programming and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Intercultural Resource Center and the Veterans Lounge. This is a grant funded position. This position is designated as Campus Security Authority (CSA).
Responsibilities
- Design, execute, and assess campus programs that promote student belonging
- Advise student groups
- Manage the Intercultural Resource Center and the Veterans Lounge
- Support supervision of AmeriCorp Vista Team
- Supervise, train, and evaluate student employees
- Assist with paperwork and documentation for budget fiscal management of department
- Serve as office liaison for campus committees
- Performs related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Baccalaureate degree in a course of study related to the occupational field
Other Required Qualifications
Must possess a current valid driver license with acceptable driving record and pass a yearly Motor Vehicle Report review.
Required Experience
More than one year experience in event planning
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Educational Qualifications
Masters degree in a course of study related to the occupational field
Preferred Experience
More than one year working in higher education or K12 environment
Proposed Salary
$44,050 per year

Ability to effectively supervise students. Ability to exercise sound judgment, make reasoned decisions and work collaboratively with others toward common goals.
KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures. Knowledge of college and departmental policies and procedures. Knowledge of computers and job-related software programs.
SKILLS
Skill in prioritizing and organizing work. Skill in the use of such office equipment as a computer, scanner, fax machine, and copier. Skill in oral and written communication. Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public. Skill in event planning.
