Scope of Position
The Quality Assurance Coordinator at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center serves as a key liaison between the Quality Department and clinical staff. This role is responsible for the coordination and continuous evaluation of patient care, safety, documentation compliance and outcomes across the continuum of care.
The position focuses on driving alignment with institutional goals and regulatory standards by building collaborative relationships with clinical staff, facilitating data sharing, supporting education and outreach efforts, and identifying system-level improvement opportunities. The Coordinator plays a critical role in promoting high standards of care within Harding Hospital.
Position Summary
The Quality Assurance Coordinator supports communication and quality improvement efforts at OSU Wexner Medical Center. This role is responsible for compliance monitoring and assisting in quality improvement measures. The coordinator also helps identify system trends and provides data to support program metrics and education. Strong collaboration, attention to detail, and clinical awareness are essential.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in health related specialty or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Experience in a highly regulated field preferred.
- Use of computers (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience working in scheduling systems and electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Self-drive, dependable, organized and task oriented with great attention to detail.
- Ability to work well both independently and in team setting.
- Must be dependable, self-directed, independent, organized, and detail oriented.
