Job Description Summary: The Part-time Associate Program Director will work primarily on a grant project aimed at enhancing genetic counselor education. The successful candidate will assist with long-term planning and day-to-day operations related to the development, measurement, and reporting of novel continuing education programs.

Description: The Part-time Associate Program Director will work primarily on a grant project aimed at enhancing genetic counselor education. The successful candidate will assist with long-term planning and day-to-day operations related to the development, measurement, and reporting of novel continuing education programs. The candidate will work under the supervision of program leadership to assist in developing and disseminating modules, measuring their impact, and supporting the students and staff associated with the program.
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and 5-7 years of job-related experience required. Master's in Genetic Counseling Degree with ABGC board certification strongly preferred. Strong oral and written communication skills and organizational skills, as well as proficiency with Microsoft Office and scheduling, are required. Experience with Redcap is preferred. 20 hrs/wk. Position is contingent upon continued funding.
Duties:
- Instructional Design: Developing and regularly maintaining and updating course Canvas sites; coordinating lecture contracts; facilitating communication with instructors and students.
- Protocol development and coordination: Preparing and submitting IRB documentation, developing Redcap databases, and preparing ongoing study reports.
- Event planning: Assisting in planning student and professional events such as the Symposium and student graduation from ART-GC.
- Education administration: Summarizing evaluation forms and maintaining the genetic counseling database for the ART-GC program.
- Administrative assistance: Staff and student support, maintaining budget documentation.
- Manuscript support: Convene author meetings, maintain reference lists, light editing, and facilitate manuscript submission. Facilitate communication between the UPenn program and the four partnering institutions. Participate in the monthly meetings.
