Data and Assessment Coordinator, Experiential Learning and Career Success
Experiential Learning and Career Success (ELCS) invites applications for a Data and Assessment Coordinator to be responsible for the development, implementation, management, and coordination of data and assessment work for all ELCS programs and initiatives. The work will involve establishing and managing collections of quantitative and qualitative data methods, analyzing and visualizing trends and patterns, producing reports, managing platforms and creatively disseminating information. This work will be accomplished through a lens of inclusive prosperity to ensure it reflects all students' experiential learning and career journeys. The Data and Assessment Coordinator reports directly to the Executive Director of ELCS. This is a three (3) year grant-funded position and continued employment is dependent on grant funding.
Examples of Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead data collection, analysis, and reporting on student outcomes and engagement across career development programs, incorporating both internal and external data sources (e.g., NSSE, NACE, Strada)
- Ensure data quality and system effectiveness by managing platforms, conducting validations, troubleshooting issues, and implementing process improvements
- Collaborate with campus partners and Institutional Research to align data efforts with university priorities (e.g., SAEM, PFA) and fulfill requests using tools like Tableau, Handshake, and Excel
- Develop and deliver training for ELCS staff, support office operations, and stay current with benchmarking and emerging strategies in the field
- Design and maintain comprehensive data and assessment plans to guide reporting, resource allocation, and strategic planning for ELCS
- Develop, execute, and disseminate reports for internal and external stakeholders, integrating data across platforms to ensure timely and accurate insights
- Analyze trends and manage projects to inform service delivery, support institutional decision-making, and ensure timely completion of key initiatives
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution plus two (2) years of related experience
- Experience gathering and interpreting data, and creating meaningful narratives based on quantitative and qualitative data
- Discretion when accessing and handling confidential information
- Demonstrated understanding of basic statistical concepts and analysis
- Communication skills to clearly and effectively provide information to internal and external audiences including university leadership, prospective students, and families
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Experience in strategic communication, research, data visualization, and multimedia technologies
- Capacity to balance multiple and varied tasks, meet deadlines, and use well-developed time management and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and a demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and platforms
Preferred Qualifications:
- Diverse array of techniques to present and visualize data and outcomes
- Ability to use a variety of tools to collect, analyze, and deliver assessment and outcomes data
- Ability to work in and manage various educational technology systems
Additional Information:
Position Number: 010030. Compensation Title: Program Coordinator II. Work Schedule: Full-time, 1.0 FTE (40 Hours a week), Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, 12 months/year. Probationary Period: Six (6) months minimum. Benefits Include: Insurance package, mandatory retirement plan, partial tuition waiver, and wellness program. This is a three (3) year grant-funded position and continued employment is dependent on grant funding.
