GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB
This position manages and leads all aspects of the registration process performed by Enrollment Services, while also assisting with other initiatives to ensure optimal student experience.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions:
- Assists with management of the reception area, the contact center, and the student information desk; handles document processing and staff scheduling for all areas to ensure optimal student experience.
- Supervises support staff and provides for their training and cross-training, in coordination with departmental colleagues.
- Participates in College recruitment, outreach activities, and College-wide committees and initiatives.
- Maintains the integrity of the College’s student information database.
- Troubleshoots issues and provides avenues for resolution.
- Monitors departmental processes and makes recommendations for improvements to best practices, customer service, policies, and procedures.
- Cross-trains in Admissions, Financial Aid, Student Accounts, and Registration.
- Manages and leads all aspects of the Registration process delivered by the broader Enrollment Services function.
- Works collaboratively with the Registration and Records departments.
- Works closely with the Academic Departments to assist and resolve student registrations and withdrawals.
- Develops, updates, and maintains a library of Standard Operating Procedures to ensure consistent adherence to established procedures.
- Creates and runs QA Registration processes.
- Oversees staff completion of student records requests in conjunction with Registration and Records as needed.
- Tests software updates that would impact the Registration and enrollment processes.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree
- Three (3) years of registration experience in a college setting
- Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office and Enterprise Resource Planning tools
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of Ellucian Colleague
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced work environment, with demonstrated multitasking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team-oriented setting
- Ability to use discretion and judgment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The work is sedentary work which requires exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly. Additionally, the following physical abilities are required:
- Fingering: Picking, pinching, typing, or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand as in handling.
- Hearing 1: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discrimination in sound.
- Speaking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word including the ability to convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately and concisely.
- Talking 1: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word including those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
- Visual Acuity 1: Have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; and/or extensive reading.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
SCHEDULE: 35 Hours Per Week
Monday – Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with
Mondays and Thursdays rotating between these hours and 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Occasional Saturdays, 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
RETIREMENT: Pension Eligible
