Overview and Responsibilities
This is a limited-term, grant-funded position with through August, 2030, contingent upon continued funding. In accordance with college policy, the selected candidate will be required to sign annual special project assignments for the duration of the grant.
The TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) Grant Director provides strategic and collaborative leadership and direction for TRIO SSS staff and grant activities to meet all defined objectives. This position will work closely with the Student Services team and academic staff to accomplish the goals of the grant.
Responsibilities:
- Directly implement TRIO SSS project.
- Develop and manage all grant activity communications.
- Provide technical and analytical support to project staff in the collection and analysis of data to support and evaluate grant objectives.
- Utilize Banner, Advise, and related systems to collect, analyze, and maintain data, and monitor evaluation plan for ongoing grant activities and annual reports.
- Develop and present periodic and annual reports on grant progress.
- Manage grant budget disbursement.
- Work closely with TRIO SSS Project Coach to analyze outcomes of intervention strategies in the TRIO SSS student population.
- Identify, select, and retain project participants, prescribing appropriate assessments and interventions.
- Provide proactive, regular and intrusive advising and coaching with cohort participants in partnership with TRIO SSS Project Coach.
- Coordinate with student services departments on grant activities, including SSS program onboarding, orientation, and registration, academic tutoring, academic advising, career development, seminars, and lunch and learn sessions.
- Coordinate grant-related surveys and focus group research on campus.
- Identify professional development opportunities for facultyand staff.
- Serve on committees related to student retention and student success as deemed appropriate.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of goals, objectives, and outcomes described in the TRIO SSS grant.
- Knowledge of student development, student success, and student retention.
- Knowledge ofstudent enrollment, registration, and financial aid procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to interpret and explain information to a variety of persons and groups.
- Strong leadership and facilitation skills.
- Ability to organize and multi-task.

- Advanced knowledge of and skills with technology including software programs for communication, data collection, and decision making including, but not limited to, Office 365 Suite.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an education, human services, or student affairs related field and minimum of four years of experience in postsecondary student services related area OR Master's degree in an education, human services, or student affairs related field and minimum of two years of experience in postsecondary student services related area.
- Experience in supervision of personnel.
- Experience in assessment and intervention strategies.
- Experience in federal grant evaluation and regulations.
- Experience managing or coordinating a TRIO project preferred.
- Experience working closely with low-income, first-generation, and disabled students and students from diverse backgrounds preferred.
- Experience with Banner and Cognos preferred.
