About the opportunity:
This senior role is responsible for managing the international marketing budget and working collaboratively with internal stakeholders to balance strategic priorities, global market reach, and performance across UC’s international network.
It requires deep expertise in international education and a minimum of five years’ experience in higher education. In this role you will navigate a dynamic and often complex regulatory landscape, including political considerations tied to international recruitment—such as visa restrictions, agent requirements, and monitoring cap levels.
Success in this role demands a strong understanding of global education systems and the ability to adapt to diverse international contexts. You’ll need to think strategically and act with operational agility, as your responsibilities span both high-level reporting and briefings, and hands-on leadership of international marketing initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead UC’s international marketing strategy to support student recruitment across key channels and pathways.
- Managing a team of two and driving operational delivery.
- Develop the international student lifecycle framework and engagement calendar.
- Support compliance planning, including NOSC caps and regulatory alignment.
- Oversee agent communications, Chinese social media, and offshore campaigns.
- Manage external marketing agencies and collaborate with internal teams to deliver integrated marketing.
- Partner with ANU, Study Canberra, and other stakeholders to advance UC’s international objectives.
- Prepare reports, memos, and briefings for executives and council, including ROI and performance reviews.
- Build relationships with agents, schools, and articulation partners.
- Support international delegations, events, and familiarisation trips.
- Represent UC in global forums and collaborative initiatives.
