  • Term: fixed-term, full-time for up to 12 months
  • Remuneration: $172,761 to $193,229 pa (HEW10) (inclusive of $145,985 to $163,281 salary pa, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading)
  • Location: Kelvin Grove (hybrid option available)
  • Open to: Applicants who have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of the fixed-term appointment. Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Manager, HR Projects (Change) (2 positions available) to join Human Resources, People Services, Administrative Division.

As the Manager, HR Projects (Change), you will work with business areas to effectively design and implement organisational change and work collaboratively across HR on key projects. Your role will be ‘hands on’ and you will be responsible for working with clients on organisational design, workforce planning and drafting required documentation to support the change process. You will work closely with senior leaders and staff to ensure that changes are implemented smoothly, professionally, without delay and that there is appropriate communication, engagement and support. In addition, you will provide project leadership and management on a variety of HR programs and projects, which support the implementation and embedding of Human Resource Department priorities as reflected in QUT’s People Strategy. This includes project work across the key strategic themes of Human Resources and report writing.

What you need to succeed

  1. A combination of relevant experience and/or education and training, equivalent to postgraduate qualifications in human resources or a related discipline.
  2. Proven experience working with senior leadership in designing, delivering and implementing complex organisational change in support of business transformation.
  3. Demonstrated experience applying appropriate project management skills within various contexts to plan, manage risk and deliver HR initiatives and activities.
  4. Strong business acumen with the ability to use, analyse and report on critical people metrics.
  5. Demonstrated experience working as part of a team to manage shifting priorities and working across a broad range of initiatives and senior stakeholders to meet organisational needs and complete complex projects.
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to influence, negotiate and build strong working relationships.
