Salary Range: Up to $30,000 annualized, commensurate with education, experience and qualifications.
Hours: 19 hours per week, nonexempt.

Job Summary
Coordinate the operation of programs or projects, exercising independent judgment and authority as required. This role will assist program development and support daily operations, including athlete counseling, team education, and fueling station management. Responsible for offering hands-on experience working with multiple sports in a dynamic collegiate environment.
Core Responsibilities
- Provides individualized and team nutrition counseling addressing training, recovery, hydration, supplementation, injury, and illness.
- Manages fueling station operations including inventory, ordering, receiving, and distribution of nutrition products.
- Develops educational materials using Adobe Express, PowerPoint, or similar tools.
- Assists with meal and snack planning for practices, games, and travel.
- Facilitates team nutrition education sessions.
- Participates in interdisciplinary meetings with sports medicine, psychology, and other support staff.
- Research and recommends permissible dietary supplements following NCAA and USADA guidelines.
- Supervises nutrition interns, dietetic interns, and student volunteers.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by the Director of Sports Nutrition.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited institution.
- Two (2) years of experience working with students and/or other groups to plan and coordinate activities and programs.
- This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UTSA and its infrastructure.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field from an accredited institution.
- Registered Dietitian or Registered Dietitian eligible.
- Working knowledge of NCAA and USADA rules and regulations.
- 1 year experience in sport nutrition.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Demonstrated independent decision-making and problem-solving ability
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Working Conditions
- Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions or other business-related events.
- Workdays, areas, and work hours may vary based on the needs of the department.
Physical Demands:

This position will be primarily located on campus. Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility.
