Hiring/Budgeted Salary or Hourly Range: The budgeted salary range that the university reasonably expects to pay for this position is $21.60 - $22.88
Full Salary Range: The full salary range for the position is $21.60 - $23.58

We are seeking a Records Specialist II: Research Coordinator to work remotely on a full-time 37.5-hour per week basis.
Summary
Under general supervision, the Records Specialist II serves as a senior and lead Record Specialist. Serves as a lead worker and provides training to staff in the unit. This position reports to the Associate Registrar and may receive assignments directly from the Registrar.
The Records Specialist II: Research Coordinator position performs a variety of administrative support functions that require extensive knowledge of tracking processes as it relates to the research curriculum, and the ability to develop positive interactions with students, alumni, faculty, program managers and program directors/leads. This position's duties involve the maintenance of the dissertation and research training tracking systems. This position will provide advice and counsel to faculty and academic program staff about research curriculum issues, including criteria, policies and procedures. The position will administer course registration associated with research courses, provide grading support to faculty, and ensure faculty and program adherence to grading policies.
All Registrar Office staff are expected to represent Fielding and the student records profession in a positive manner and to collaborate with academic and other departments to contribute to the retention of students. The Records Specialist II must have strong problem solving-skills, the ability to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines, work with a wide array of faculty and staff, and employ impeccable organizational skills. The role utilizes interpersonal, analytical and technical skills and requires strong proficiency in multiple software programs.
Distinguishing Characteristics: The Records Specialist II: Research Coordinator position will possess a comprehensive knowledge of the dissertation and research training processes, enabling the incumbent to provide support and guidance to Fielding constituents. Ongoing consultation with students, faculty committee members, and External Examiners to facilitate student progress through dissertation proposal and final reviews and step completion. Coordination of approvals for research practicum sites and completions. Coordinates External Examiner appointment and review, proofreading, and ProQuest submission processes. The Records Specialist II serves as a first point of contact for questions regarding fundamental Registrar Office procedures and policies. In the absence of department leadership, the Records Specialist II will represent the department.
QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants should have a bachelor's degree with a major in humanities; social sciences; liberal arts, or business, public, or educational administration preferred; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and ability. Minimum of two years of clerical or administrative experience in higher education, preferably in a Registrar's office.
