About the Role: The Senior Functional Analyst plays a strategic leadership role in analysing, designing, and enhancing complex enterprise systems and business processes, driving discovery, solution design, continuous improvement, and change adoption across multiple projects to support the University’s digital transformation goals. The primary focus of this role is on Victoria University’s TechnologyOne Student Management System and CX suite.
Position Key Duties
Lead end‑to‑end analysis of complex business problems to design scalable, enterprise-level system and process solutions.
Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, guiding them through requirements, solution design, and process improvements.
Drive discovery activities, requirements gathering, and user story creation across multiple cross‑functional projects.
Oversee system configuration, integrations, and alignment with enterprise architecture and organisational strategy.
Produce high‑quality documentation including business cases, functional specifications, and process maps to support delivery and decision‑making.
Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), training, and change management activities to ensure successful system adoption.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation, ensuring systems are fully leveraged and aligned with evolving needs.
Mentor and support junior analysts to uplift analytical capability and contribute to a high‑performing team environment.
Ticket management, workflow coordination, and overall process oversight, this role will effectively incorporate Scrum Master–type responsibilities.
Salary: HEP 8 - $113,953 - $128,326 – Plus 17% Super Employment Type: Full Time – Ongoing Hours: 36.75/1 FTE Location: Footscray Park Campus – 3 days on site.

About You: You are an experienced functional analyst with a strong track record leading complex enterprise system initiatives, combining advanced analytical capability with the confidence to engage, influence, and collaborate across diverse stakeholder groups. You bring deep expertise in business process design, requirements analysis, and systems integration, with the ability to translate complex organisational needs into clear, actionable solutions. You thrive in dynamic environments, balancing multiple priorities while driving continuous improvement and championing best‑practice approaches. Skilled in Agile delivery and comfortable guiding others, you communicate with clarity, solve problems with creativity, and contribute positively to a collaborative, customer‑centred culture
