"Student Financial Services Assistant (Internal EOU Candidates only)"

The Student Financial Services Office is dedicated to supporting the primary mission of Eastern Oregon University by delivering responsive, professional, and accurate accounts receivable services in the most effective means possible while continually improving services to students, faculty, staff, and the public.

The Student Financial Services Assistant is responsible for initiating and completing a high level of student financial assistance, which includes basic financial aid knowledge and the ability to research and complete student account audits. This position ensures compliance with program or operational rules, university policies, and applicable state and federal laws, and provides clear explanations of Student Financial Services operations.

In addition, the Student Financial Services Assistant serves as Cashier and accurately accounts for funds paid to the University. Responsibilities include entering charges on student accounts, processing account refunds, handling departmental deposits, and assisting students with inquiries related to their accounts. This position also supports clubs and athletics by preparing cash boxes for special events.

This is a full-time, 12-month position that reports directly to the Vice President of Finance and Administration (VPFA).

The successful candidate will join a wonderful, supportive team of professionals. This position is a customer service position and must excel in communications and relations with students, co-workers, staff, faculty and the public. There is a high degree of professional standards and conduct required. The Student Financial Services Office requires teamwork and cooperation among the staff in planning and providing student services.
