Success Coach
Summary of Position
The Success Coach at Red Rocks Community College (RRCC) serves as a vital advocate and support resource for students navigating academic challenges and barriers to persistence. Positioned within the retention team, this role bridges the gap between students and their academic goals by providing tailored, proactive support strategies. The Success Coach works closely with students identified as at-risk, building individualized success plans and connecting them with appropriate resources, while fostering a sense of belonging and engagement through group activities and campus collaboration. As part of a student-centered team, the Success Coach collaborates with advising, student affairs, and campus partners to implement initiatives that promote retention, equity, and student achievement. This position requires flexibility, occasional evening and weekend availability, and a deep commitment to student success in a diverse academic environment. The work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional evening and weekend commitments required. May require work at both campuses and travel between campuses.

Qualifications
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Demonstrated ability to plan and implement events and activities.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work from any RRCC campus (primarily our Lakewood campus with occasional hours at the Arvada campus).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Guidance and Counseling, Education, or a related field, from an accredited institution, or equivalent combination of education and experience. An equivalency will not count towards the two-year requirement below.
- Two years of customer service experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within a TRIO or similar program.
Physical & Cognitive Demands
The following are some of the physical and cognitive demands commonly associated with this position: Occasionally moves, positions, and transports files and office materials weighing up to 10 lbs. This is largely a sedentary role. This position operates in an office environment and constantly uses a computer, and routinely uses standard office equipment including phones, copiers, etc. The person in this position constantly communicates with internal and external constituents and students. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. Cognitive demands include comparing, copying, computing, compiling, analyzing, coordinating, synthesizing, negotiating, communicating, instructing, and interpersonal skills.
Starting Salary
Starting salary range for this position is $54,113 to $59,524 annually, commensurate with education and experience. This is a full-time, FLSA-exempt position. This position has been exempted from the State Classified System.
