Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
This position supports the Director of Student Discipline/Title IX Coordinator in promoting a safe, respectful, and equitable learning environment. This role involves enforcing the Code of Student Conduct, managing student complaints, ensuring Title IX compliance, and providing outreach and education on student rights and responsibilities.
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the Director in enforcing the Code of Student Conduct and ensuring due process in disciplinary procedures.
- Assist in conducting Title IX investigations and maintaining compliance with federal and institutional policies.
- Coordinate and facilitate student educational training sessions on conduct expectations, conflict resolution, and campus safety.
- Serve as a point of contact for student complaints and assist in resolving grievances in accordance with college policy.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of student conduct and Title IX cases.
- Collaborate with campus departments to promote consistent application of student discipline and Title IX procedures.
- Assist in the development and delivery of outreach programs to educate the campus community on student rights and responsibilities.
- Coordinate and ensure the delivery of student conduct and Title IX services to all student populations.
- Monitor and utilize centralized reporting systems such as Palomino ALERT!, the “Report It” webpage, and other resources.
- Work collaboratively with Human Resources and Campus Police on investigations, safety-related matters, and coordinate responses efforts to ensure compliance with institutional policies and federal regulations.
- Contribute to the preparation of compliance documentation and reports for audits and institutional reviews.
- Performs other related duties as assigned to support the goals and objectives of the department, division and institution.
Qualifications/Certifications/Licenses/Skills

Required:
- A Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in Education, Counseling, Social Work, or related field.
- Professional experience working in student services, academic affairs, compliance, counseling, or a related area that involves direct student engagement, policy implementation, or case management.
- Title IX-specific certifications (e.g., Investigator, Coordinator, Decision-Maker training) and Behavioral Threat Assessment trainings within six months of hire.
Preferred:
- Masters degree from an accredited college or university in Education, Counseling, Social Work, or related field.
- Experience in higher education setting involving student conduct, Title IX compliance, conflict resolution, or training and outreach.
- Familiarity with institutional policies, federal regulations, and reporting systems.
- Completion of Title IX Coordinator or Investigator certification and Behavioral Threat Assessment training through a recognized organization such as ATIXA and NABITA or equivalent professional association.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with students, faculty, and staff from diverse backgrounds.
- They should possess a working knowledge of student development theory, conflict resolution strategies, and applicable federal regulations, including Title IX and FERPA.
- The candidate must be able to manage sensitive information with discretion, maintain accurate records, and exercise sound judgment in complex situations.
- Proficiency in case management systems and the ability to develop and deliver educational programming are also essential.

Supervision Received
Reports directly to the Director of Student Discipline/Title IX Coordinator.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Work Environment
Work is performed in a standard office environment. Work inside a well-lighted and air-conditioned area most of the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.

Required to work safely and follow safety rules. Report unsafe working conditions and behavior. Take reasonable and prudent actions to prevent others from engaging in unsafe practices.
Special Conditions
Immediate supervisor may assign other duties. May be required to work outside regular working hours, as needed. May be required to work at a different college work site or campus as needed.
