The University of Texas Permian Basin's Department of Enrollment Management welcomes applications for the position of Undergraduate Recruiter.
Salary Range
$45,000.00 depending on qualifications.
Essential Functions
The Undergraduate Recruiter plays an essential role in attracting and enrolling students who will thrive at The University of Texas Permian Basin. This position is responsible for managing recruitment territories, engaging with prospective students and their families, and guiding them through the admissions process from first contact to enrollment. The recruiter works closely with the Admissions team, school counselors, alumni, and other stakeholders to develop outreach strategies, process applications, and represent the university at events. By building strong relationships and providing personalized guidance, this role supports the university's mission to expand access to higher education and foster student success.
- Manage a recruitment territory and develop strategies to attract qualified students.
- Identify, recruit, and enroll prospective students through in-person and virtual outreach.
- Maintain relationships with school counselors, alumni, and community partners.
- Process admissions applications, evaluate transcripts, and make admission recommendations.
- Plan and attend admissions and university events on and off campus.
- Conduct ongoing communication with prospective students and families via phone, email, and mail.
- Represent UTPB in a professional and engaging manner at college fairs, school visits, and community events.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Must possess excellent presentation, communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills
- Able to travel locally and nationally to fulfill the duties of this position.
- Possess a valid unencumbered driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual - English & Spanish
- One (1) year of work experience in college admissions or related field

Conditions of Employment

Schedule
Generally, the normal work hours for the university are Monday through Thursday, 7:30 - 5:30 pm; Friday, 8:00 am - 12:00 pm with a one-hour lunch. The individual holding this position may need to be available early morning, evening, and on weekends to meet the needs of the department. Hours worked may differ with some departments.
Standard Working Conditions
- Able to lift various materials up to 25 pounds on an occasional basis.
- Able to bend, crouch, and reach continuously.
- Physically able remain seated, frequently to continuously.
- Able to remain standing up to 15% of the time.
- Possesses dexterity abilities required to perform job duties including extensive keyboard work, operating office equipment, performing filing, and other job-related responsibilities that include extensive wrist and hand movement.
- Standard working conditions may differ depending on department and occupation.
