Administrative Assistant in Fisheries
Job Summary: In this role, you collect and administer financial and sustainability data from fishing vessels for the Business Information Network (BIN). You manage a specific group of vessels and handle relationship management with fishermen, working from one of the regional offices.
Responsibilities: Collect financial and sustainability data from a fixed group of vessels through business administration, digital invoices, accountancy records, or questionnaires. Maintain data in a database for researchers. Manage relationships with BIN participants by preparing annual reports on business results and environmental indicators, presenting these during visits, and recruiting new participants. This involves approximately one day per week on the road after the induction period.
Qualifications and Requirements: You have a completed (business) economic or agricultural education at MBO or HBO level, preferably supplemented with a Modern Business Administration (MBA) diploma, or are willing to obtain one (with costs covered). You possess extensive knowledge and experience in the fisheries sector, are numerically skilled, experienced with digital bookkeeping systems, have a precise working method, and hold a driving license B. You are a team player capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
What the Employer Offers: Full-time or part-time work (minimum 24 hours per week), flexible hours, hybrid working options, free public transport for commuting up to 100 km, home office setup allowance, extensive training opportunities, sabbatical leave, study leave, partially paid parental leave, an 8.3% end-of-year bonus, excellent pension scheme via ABP, and on-campus sports at reduced rates. Salary ranges from €3,231 to €4,374 per month for a 36-hour workweek, based on experience and in accordance with the Wageningen Research CAO. Initial one-year contract, potentially extendable.
