Job Summary
This role involves providing administrative and organizational support to staff and students at the Erasmus School of Social and Behavioural Sciences (ESSB). It is a temporary position for one year, focusing on ensuring a smooth educational process in both Dutch and English.
Responsibilities
- Provide logistical and administrative support to lecturers, such as supplying information for course starts.
- Answer complex student inquiries and assist with administrative challenges.
- Handle logistical and administrative aspects of assessments, including student enrollment for exams.
- Administer grades and student results.
- Collaborate with colleagues on processes like entrance requirements checks, group assignments, and student onboarding.
- Prepare for the new academic year, including conducting information sessions for new students.
- Participate in daily tasks such as processing tickets, updating documentation, and improving processes like grade administration.
Qualifications and Requirements
- HBO-level education and thinking, with preferably experience in similar administrative roles.
- Enthusiasm for a university education setting and ability to empathize with the needs of students and lecturers.
- Proactive attitude, ability to switch quickly between tasks and audiences, and strong organizational and planning skills.
- Team player with a customer-oriented approach towards students and lecturers.
- High sense of responsibility and a positive mindset.
- Excellent skills in MS Office, and preferably in Canvas and Osiris.
- Good command of English at least at B2 level (according to the Common European Framework) in both spoken and written form.
What the Employer Offers
- A salary between €3,057 and €3,985 gross per month for a full-time position (38 hours), based on experience and in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities (CAO NU).
- A contract for 0.6 to 0.8 FTE for one year, with a start date as soon as possible.
