Job Description

This role is responsible for overseeing campus scheduling, event services, and community outreach for the Idaho State University (ISU) Idaho Falls campus. The position cultivates a positive university image through exceptional customer service, strategic marketing, and public relations, ultimately contributing to student recruitment, retention, and community engagement. Office hours are typically between 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. On call or after-hours work may be necessary due to the nature of the responsibilities. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship at this time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Campus Events: Provide comprehensive oversight of all campus events, including scheduling, logistics, client relations, and financial management.
  • Marketing: Develop, implement, and manage marketing plans and campaigns for the ISU Idaho Falls campus in collaboration with campus leadership. This includes managing social media, the website, and both digital and print advertising.
  • Community Engagement: Represent ISU Idaho Falls in the community, develop and execute outreach plans, and collaborate with key stakeholders to effectively promote the university's mission and vision in the greater Idaho Falls area.
  • Scheduling and Logistics: Manage event and facility scheduling, maintain facility calendars, process rental applications, and coordinate event setup, teardown, and staffing.
  • Policy Enforcement and Support: Enforce university policies related to facility use and provide technical support and troubleshooting for classroom and event issues.
  • Equipment Management: Collaborate with IT support staff to maintain campus event and classroom equipment, ensuring routine maintenance and timely replacement.
  • Financial Management: Monitor revenue and expenditures for event services and facility rentals and assist campus leadership with budget development and monitoring.
  • The ability to work a regular schedule consistent with the needs of the university is an essential function of this position.
  • All other Reasonable Duties as Assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in relevant field such as marketing, communications, public relations, event management, or a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Previous experience developing marketing materials and outreach strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students, faculty, staff, community patrons and other administrators.
  • Proficient in event planning, project management and budget development and tracking.
  • Knowledge of legal and insurance concerns, as they relate to event services.
  • Experience with event contract negotiation and risk management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree or certificate in Project Management.
  • Advanced Degree or certificate in marketing, public relations, or related field.

Additional Information

Salary will be between $55,000 to $62,000 per year, commensurate with education and experience.
