Position overview
The Deputy Manager, Timetabling is a key leadership role within the Division of Student Engagement and Education Management (SEEM). As a member of the Exams, Conferral and Timetabling team, the position supports students across the student lifecycle, with a strong focus on the effective delivery and continuous improvement of the University’s timetabling services.
Working under broad direction, the role provides strategic and operational support to the Manager, Timetabling, contributing to the effective planning, coordination, and delivery of the University-wide timetable. The position plays a critical role in ensuring high-quality, compliant, and student-focused scheduling outcomes that support teaching delivery across the University.
The Deputy Manager provides authoritative advice on university policy, legislation, systems, and business processes related to timetabling and scheduling, and leads the development and implementation of improved practices, procedures, and service delivery models.
The role includes leadership and supervision of staff, supporting capability development, fostering a service-oriented culture, and ensuring the team delivers consistent, high-quality outcomes aligned with university priorities.
Working collaboratively with Colleges, Schools, Campus Environment, IT, and senior stakeholders, the Deputy Manager supports the coordination of complex teaching requirements and contributes to strategic initiatives and projects that enhance timetabling operations, space utilisation and the broader student and staff experience.
