Education Administration Officer (Targeted)
- Full time continuing opportunity for an organised Education Administration Officer based at F13 Stuart Anderson Building
- Opportunity to provide a broad range of education administrative and operational support to academic and teaching staff to support processes for teaching activities
- Base Salary of $89,755 + 17% superannuation
About the opportunity
We are seeking an Education Administration Officer to join our vibrant faculty team, supporting academic and teaching staff within the School of Medical Sciences. This role plays a key part in ensuring the smooth delivery of educational programs and compliance with university standards within the team looking after School of Medical Sciences (SOMS). You’ll be part of a collaborative environment that values innovation and continuous improvement.
In this role, you will provide a broad range of administrative and operational services that ensure the smooth and compliant delivery of teaching, assessments, and examinations across the School. You’ll work closely with Education Support Officers, academic staff, and Faculty stakeholders, contributing to efficient processes, excellent student experiences, and the effective use of education systems and resources.
Please note that these roles are not open to current University of Sydney students. You will be expected to maintain an onsite presence for this position, with WFH arrangements to be discussed with your manager if you are successful.

Your key responsibilities will be to:
- deliver high-quality administrative support for teaching, assessment, and examination activities
- assist with planning and coordinating assessment and exam operations to support positive outcomes for students and academics
- contribute to accurate data management, results processing, and record‑keeping in line with governance and compliance requirements
- maintain and update education administration systems, documentation, and shared resources
- manage enquiries, workflows, and stakeholder interactions to ensure consistent and responsive service
- support the daily functioning of education administration facilities, resources, and office environments
- collaborate across teams to maintain consistent service delivery and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
About you

- effective and tactful communication skills (both verbal and written) together with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to use initiative and exercise sound judgement, along with the ability to prioritise workload during busy periods
- excellent time and workload management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritise effectively, manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and achieve required outcomes
- superior computer skills, including database maintenance, experience with Microsoft Officer (Excel) together with experience operating with large, corporate-level database and information systems with exposure to learning management systems (eg Canvas, Moodle or equivalent
- experience working in a tertiary or complex organisation will be highly regarded.
