Job Description

The Office of International Affairs (OIA)... The International Post-Graduate Employment Specialist is responsible for ensuring institutional compliance with relevant federal regulations... primary focus on Optional Practical Training (OPT) and STEM OPT Extensions.

What you will do:

  • OPT and STEM OPT Initial Request Processing (45%): Reviewing requests, ensuring payments, eligibility checks, creating I-20s.
  • OPT and STEM OPT Student Employment Reporting Processing (35%): Advising on compliance, processing reports, SEVP Portal assistance.
  • Create Resources Related to Post-Graduate Employment (10%): Review and create resources, workshops, presentations.
  • Administrative Duties and Professional Development (10%): Data collection, meetings, training.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in international education or related field.
  • One year of professional experience in international student services.
  • US citizen or US Lawful Permanent Resident.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree.
  • Experience as Designated School Official, SEVIS, Sunapsis.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Effective communication, customer service, analytical skills.

Conditions of Employment

Hybrid work structure: 3 days on campus (Tuesdays required), occasional evenings/weekends. Funding from OPT/STEM OPT Charge.

Compensation and Benefits
