Medical Researcher 'Troponin Diagnostics in the Ambulance (ARTICA-2)'
Job Summary: As a medical researcher (PhD candidate), you will promote within a award-winning research project that advances emergency care. In the ARTICA-2 project, you will investigate for four years how point-of-care troponin measurements in the ambulance can improve cardiac care for patients with a high risk of acute coronary syndrome (NSTE ACS). You will coordinate and execute a randomized strategy study on the efficiency and safety of these measurements.
Responsibilities: Work on the setup and execution of the ARTICA-2 study, including research on prehospital cardiac care, translating clinical insights into research questions and practical applications, and collaborating in a multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications and Requirements: You must have a completed medical degree (Geneeskunde). Preferably, you have some experience in scientific research and clinical work as a medical intern (ANIOS). You should be communicative, flexible, proactive, and able to work well in a multidisciplinary team.
What the Employer Offers: A four-year fixed-term appointment as a medical researcher within the ARTICA-2 study. Flexible home working options, a fully funded BROK course, guidance from an enthusiastic team of experienced cardiologists, a gross monthly salary between €3,598 and €5,669 for a full-time position (36 hours per week), 8% vacation pay, 8.3% end-of-year bonus, and 176 vacation hours per year based on a 36-hour workweek.
