About This Opportunity

Are you passionate about helping students and graduates succeed in their careers? In this dynamic role as Multimodal Career Development Learning Designer, you’ll work closely with Career Development and key partners across the University (including the Library, ITaLI and Faculties) to design and deliver engaging career development learning resources.

You’ll leverage educational technologies and learning design principles to create impactful digital content that supports students and alumni throughout their employability journey.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a mix of content creation, digital learning, stakeholder collaboration, and student engagement.

Key responsibilities will include: 

  • Collaborating with stakeholders to identify, enhance and develop innovative career development resources, informed by national and international best practice.
  • Creating, publishing and maintaining employability content, including website materials, online learning modules and career resources.
  • Support Career Development with data visualization for reporting and presentation activities.
  • Supporting major career events such as Resume Reviews, Recruitment Essentials Day, Orientation and Employability Week, engaging directly with students and alumni.

About You

  • Undergraduate degree in Education, Learning Design or related field, with at least 3 years’ relevant experience in digital or educational content development.
  • Experience using educational technologies including LMS platforms (Blackboard/Moodle), Articulate, H5P, ePortfolio systems, and social media tools, with exposure to learner data and analytics.
  • Proven ability to design and develop engaging online learning resources for a dynamic organisation; intermediate to advanced skills in HTML, CSS and JavaScript are highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of the Australian higher education sector and graduate employability challenges.

Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively across teams.

Appointment to this role is subject to the successful completion of relevant pre-employment checks, which may include verification of the right to work in Australia, qualifications, criminal history checks, and Blue Card checks. This may also include checks relating to gender-based violence matters or other integrity and conduct requirements.
