We’re looking for a WIL Senior Officer to join our innovative STEM College WIL Team. 

About the role

In this role, you’ll help shape meaningful placement experiences for students by sourcing, coordinating, and allocating Work Integrated Learning (WIL) opportunities across STEM disciplines. You’ll be a key contact for students, academics, and industry partners — helping to ensure placement processes run smoothly from start to finish.

 

You’ll join a collaborative squad that supports specific disciplines within the College. Our squads are continually refining their ways of working, so you’ll have the chance to contribute ideas, embrace new approaches, and help drive improvements that benefit the whole team.

 

Your day-to-day will include: 

  • coordinating stakeholders and placement logistics 
  • responding to student enquiries 
  • verifying mandatory preplacement requirements 
  • maintaining high-quality data in the InPlace CRM
  • supporting continuous improvement of WIL systems and processes   

This is a dynamic role where your initiative, judgement and teamwork will make a real difference to the student experience. 

To be successful in this position, you will have:  

  • Strong communication and relationship building skills 
  • High-quality administrative experience (WIL experience is a plus)
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a squad-based team
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise under pressure 
  • Attention to detail, initiative, and flexibility 
  • Confidence learning and using digital systems 

If you have experience in high volume WIL administration—especially within health or allied health—we’d love to hear from you.

Please Note: Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working with Children and National Police Check. 

STEM College Office Professional

The STEM College Office Professional staff provide exceptional and efficient support to the College.  

The Learning, Teaching and Quality teams support:  

  • Quality Enhancement  
  • Learning and Teaching support  

The Professional shared services Group delivers service to all four School across five distinct functions:  

  • Student Lifecycle  
  • Planning & Operations   
  • Technical Services  
  • Program & Governance  
  • WIL & Engagement   

Relevant digital solutions – such as Workday – are used by the five teams to streamline processes and drive operational efficiencies. The Group’s end-to-end professional support ensures a consistent approach to the operational and strategic functioning of the College and adherence to University policies and procedures.  

The STEM College Office professional staff are instrumental in providing students with a transformative and enriched learning experience, and in supporting our research and engagement administration activities. Centralised in the STEM College Office, at our City and Bundoora campuses, professional staff members have opportunities to cross skill, engage in professional development and develop their own career paths.
