This role is hybrid with on-site expectations in Ann Arbor, MI 3 days per week. Domestic and international travel is required. You may work on-call hours. Ross School of Business, the Sanger Leadership Center serves as an important bridge between student learners and thought leaders in both research and practice. The Center runs 120+ leadership development sessions and has over 10,000 student interactions annually. Its mission is to accelerate leader development through bold ideas, transformative experiences, and inclusive communities.

Center Leadership (25%):
- Collaborate with the team to develop our Objectives & Key Results pertaining to the programming portfolio.
- Oversee strategic objectives related to assigned programs and areas. Programs include: Collaboration Lab, which covers the orientation and MAP experience for Ross students, and the Michigan Ross Leader Endorsement, our micro-credential.
- Where assigned, select, supervise, develop, and evaluate assigned staff; establish and model performance expectations and standards to foster a positive, high-service, learning, and innovative culture. Provide leadership for the training of staff in order to make full use of individual capabilities and to meet the Center's growth and demands. Note: This posted role does not include formal supervisory responsibilities, but may have the potential to include them in the future.
- Pursue and maintain new partnerships with other Ross departments, colleagues, board members, and alumni to advance the Center and its programming.
Program and Project Management (50%):
- Oversee strategy and Sanger's involvement and delivery for assigned leadership programs, including Collaboration Lab, the Michigan Ross Leader Endorsement, and curricular integrations (e.g., BA courses, MAP, and courses with leadership development components).
- Generate plans for enhancing the portfolio based on continuous feedback and learning.
- Collaborate with Ross offices on leadership orientation programs across Ross academic audiences, including: One-Year Masters Portfolio, Full-time MBA, Weekend MBA, Bachelor of Business Administration, Online MBA, and Executive MBA.
- Ensure alignment of programs with center strategies and recommend innovations.
- Manage program budgets and collaborate with marketing on communications and design.
- Partner with contracted executive coaches and analyze participant feedback to improve content.
- Conduct presentations to internal and external constituents, as necessary.
- Analyze the effectiveness of programming and make recommendations for innovations.
- Collect and summarize quantitative and qualitative data, including registration, engagement, and demographic data, as well as participant surveys.
- Generate plans for enhancing the portfolio based on continuous feedback and learning.
Relationship Management (25%):
- Intentionally build relationships with board members, alumni, faculty, executive coaches, and others who could be involved in the Center's programming, especially related to the assigned portfolio.
- Build and nurture relationships with alumni and donors to promote the Center and programs.
- Coordinate with faculty and staff partners to give students a seamless leadership development experience.
- Cultivate and develop strong relationships with partners on the U-M campus; external organizations, including corporate partners and other colleges and universities; and key constituents, including faculty, staff, students, and sponsors.
- Ensure optimal positioning of the portfolio and promote positive public relations for the Center.
- Collaborate with other Ross departments that provide services and support to the program, such as Program Offices (PTMBA/Online MBA, Full-time MBA, One Year Masters, Executive MBA, Undergraduate Programs), Office of Action-Based Learning, Career Development Office, and various Centers & Institutes.
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and support to student leaders as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
- Full cycle program, project, or event management experience.
- Experience with designing and delivering student learning and development programming.
- Experience partnering with members at various levels within an organization (or externally).
Salary Information: The posting range for this position is $64,000 to $79,000. This posting range reflects multiple factors involved in determining compensation, such as skills, experience, training, certifications, and other organizational needs. At Ross, it is not common for new hires to be offered a salary at the upper end of the range. Compensation decisions are based on the details of each situation.
