"Research Project Manager"

Job Summary: As a Research Project Manager at Maastricht University, you will provide structure, oversight, and quality assurance for scientific research projects, including contract research and academic projects. You will manage project planning, execution, and collaboration to ensure research excellence and impact.

Responsibilities: Establish and monitor project planning, deadlines, and outputs; Set up and follow consultation structures at the project level; Provide support on ethical, legal, and compliance issues; Select appropriate software and optimize monitoring structures for project management; Ensure quality control, propose continuous improvements, maintain the ISO handbook, and coordinate audits; Offer additional support to project leaders, such as preparing quotes and progress reports based on project phase, size, and complexity.

Qualifications and Requirements: Experienced project professional with demonstrable experience in project management, preferably in scientific research; Proactive and structured approach, with the ability to maintain overview in busy environments; Team-oriented and connecting, with strong communication skills in both Dutch and English; Flexible and solution-oriented, with the ability to switch between projects; Quality-conscious, with skills in monitoring progress, maintaining quality standards, and seeking improvements; Possess an academic level of thinking and working to analyze and improve complex processes.
