Job Description

Gogebic Community College is seeking students for a part-time position in the Applied Technology Department as a Welding Student Assistant. This position pays $12.00 per hour and may provide up to 5 work hours per week. It is important that there is recognition, acceptance, and adherence to the GCC mission and philosophy from our Federal Work Study employees.

Job Description

Assist with class and lab work including preparing parts and equipment for various welding program objectives. Assist with inventory and ordering supplies. Perform small repairs as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

OSHA-10 Certification

Education/Career Related Benefits

Gain additional experience working with state-of-the-art equipment. Understand how to make small repairs and order supplies.

Be approved for Federal Work Study (FWS) on your Financial Aid Notification. 3. Complete and submit the Federal Work Study Application. 4.
