"Adjunct Faculty, Division of General Education and Interdisciplinary Studies: Africana Studies, Human Rights, & Women's and Gender Studies"

Kean University in Union, New Jersey, is seeking Adjunct Faculty for the Division of General Education and Interdisciplinary Studies in Africana Studies, Human Rights, and Women's and Gender Studies. Positions are part-time and filled on an as-needed basis for upcoming semesters.

Africana Studies: Teach courses such as Interdisciplinary Black Studies, Afrocentric Research Methods, Film and the African Experience, Introduction to Africana Studies, and Race and Racism in the USA, in-person at the Union campus.

Human Rights: Teach interdisciplinary introductory courses on human rights, migration, and justice and activism, in-person at the Union or Kean Ocean campus in Toms River, NJ.

Women's and Gender Studies: Teach a range of interdisciplinary women's and gender studies courses, in-person at the Union or Kean Ocean campus in Toms River, NJ.

Requirements include a master's degree in a related field and teaching experience; candidates with an ABD, Ed.D., Ph.D., or other acceptable doctorate are encouraged. Proficiency in a Learning Management System is required. Adjunct faculty must provide office hours based on credit hours taught.

Salary: Effective September 2024, $1,975 per credit; effective September 2025, $2,100 per credit; effective September 2026, $2,225 per credit. An additional $75 per credit after the 13th semester taught.
