Continuing Education Specialist
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
The Continuing Education Specialist will provide program coordination support related to the lifecycle of a program. This position is responsible for timely collection of data and reporting to the manager and executive director for the timely preparation of assessment efforts in collecting data related to course outcomes, program outcomes, general education outcomes, and developmental program outcomes, for the program(s) assigned.
- Serve as the primary liaison for one or more of the continuing education programs.
- Schedule time, date, and location of programs.
- Assist students with registration.
- Order program materials.
- Conducts orientation for all program class starts.
- Works with the Manager of Continuing Education to determine instructor availability, equipment needed and budget for new programs.
- Ensures all program invoices are submitted for processing timely to the Manager of Continuing Education.
- Ensures the completion of participant communication and tracking including attendance, grades and submission of required paperwork to appropriate third-party partners.
- In coordination with the Manager of Continuing Education develops and executes marketing plans for the programs in which they have responsibility.
- Other assigned duties as assigned.

Education Required
Minimum Associate's Degree. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required degree.
Experience Required
- A minimum of two (2) years of work experience in an automated office environment. Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Suite, and data entry.
- Demonstrated experience with contract negation and oversight.
- Experience with public contracting guidelines (especially grants management) and course accreditation standards
Skills/Abilities /Knowledge /Other Requirements
- Excellent written, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills required.
- Has basic proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exhibits strong skills in building relationships and possesses a creative and innovative approach to problem solving.
- Must have the ability to follow established protocols, have private transportation and the ability to work a varied schedule as needed.
- Demonstrates the ability to multi-task. Must be detail oriented.
