St. Ambrose University is seeking an Assistant Director of Security to support the Director in managing the daily operations of the Campus Security Department. This role includes supervising Patrol Officers, overseeing security systems (BeeCard access, key boxes, CCTV, report software, vendor card system), and responding to campus incidents.

Key Duties:

• Hire, train, and supervise Patrol staff.
• Lead investigations and serve as case manager.
• Oversee security and access control systems.
• Support administrative functions and incident reporting.
• Provide leadership in the Director’s absence.
• Engage with the campus community and staff special events.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 4 years’ experience in security or law enforcement with supervisory responsibility.
• Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including walking, running, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in all weather.
• Bachelor’s degree or relevant certifications preferred.
